Best of Black and White | Clifton Gallery

Clifton Gallery is pleased to showcase twelve artworks that highlight the boldness of black and white. Reducing the colour palette to black and white provides artists with a fantastic opportunity to create strong artworks that let their compositions shine.

The chosen artworks include:

Idris Khan’s Death of Painting lithograph, a beautifully framed abstract work from his sought after early career works.

Damien Hirst’s Diacetoxyscirpenol spot etching, a clean, crisp composition of Damien Hirst’s iconic spots on an extra large scale, the print itself measuring just over 2 metres wide and 1 metre tall.

Nicolas Party’s Portrait With a Seahorse Necklace, a fascinating figurative portrait by the celebrated Swiss artist.

David Shrigley’s Talk to the Hand linocut that combines one of his famous phrases with a bold hand.
