The Cologne photographer, Albrecht Fuchs (*1964 in Bielefeld, lives in Cologne), portrays people from different social groups, but above all artists and musicians. The current series “61-73” encompasses portraits of internationally renowned artists who belong to the same generation as Albrecht Fuchs himself and the editors (born between 1961 and 1973). The result is a concise generational picture of these artists, making probable their entrance into today’s art history.

[…] all the pictures radiate an intent tranquility, a strange dense concentration, as if the people we see are right now thinking of the mystery that they constitute. And it testifies to the elegance of this photographer that he does not try to take this away from them. Johanna Adorján, FAZ, 25/03/2007
