This small print is the artist’s first etching. Vinalhaven Press, located on Vinalhaven Island in Maine, USA, published Alison Saar’s first prints in 1993 and 1994, which are documented in “In Print: Contemporary Artists at the Vinalhaven Press” a catalog published to accompany their retrospective exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art in 1997. The available impression is one of four signed Printer’s Proofs.
