A photographic contone print capturing what Alison Wilding RA experienced as “an unpredictable display of shape-shifting geometry”, and “a drawing masterclass”.
Wilding’s inspiration was watching starlings, at Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, gather in winter’s dusk before roosting. She was particularly struck by the flock’s wave-like movement in all directions against a darkening sky.
