This livre d’artiste was produced as a memorial to André Minaux (1923-1986), and features 8 ORIGINAL FULL-PAGE HORS-TEXTE AQUATINTS BY MINAUX, engraved by the artist shortly before his death and never before printed.
From a total edition of 110 copies printed on extremely fine Rives wove paper, this is ONE OF ONLY 8 COPIES WITH THE ORIGINAL DRAWING (ink wash and wax pencil) FOR ONE OF THE AQUATINTS, SIGNED BY MINAUX. The drawing measures 34.2 x 25.3 cm, and is on very fine gray wove paper.
The book is signed by the author and bears the artist’s estate stamp.
Folio. Loose as issued in original wraps. FINE AND BRIGHT. Housed in the original cloth folding case (case with a bit of superficial scratching, otherwise fine).
