In his series The Other Side of Light (since 2016), Andreas Gefeller visualizes abstract phenomena of our world.
Sometimes they are visualizations of technical processes, such as the cloud or digital algorithms, sometimes of processes from the natural world.
This photograph was taken at the pond in Düsseldorf’s Hofgarten.
It captures the delicate lines and structures, usually barely visible to the naked eye, that form light reflections on the gently moving water.
It is a subtle work.
Gefeller’s photography makes an inconspicuous natural phenomenon visible and elicits nature’s hidden abstract beauty.
