FLASH COMPLETE PORTFOLIO
Andy Warhol Flash Complete Portfolio is a portfolio of 11 screenprints based on images found in mass media about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. They were assembled in a book that featured text taken straight from the newspaper, which was what led to the title of Flash – November 22, 1963.

FLASH COMPLETE PORTFOLIO BY ANDY WARHOL AS PART OF LARGER BODY OF WORK
Andy Warhol had somewhat of an obsession with the Kennedy assassination, especially the media’s representation of it. This ended up being a source of creative output for Warhol throughout the 1960s, shown in Flash Full Suite. Shortly following the assassination, Warhol created a number of prints focusing on Jacqueline Kennedy, images from the Dealey Plaza event, as well as images of JFK’s funeral service. Now, four years later, Warhol returns to the same subject focusing on the main character. The combination of tragedy and celebrity fascinated Warhol and he continued to experiment with this subject throughout his career.
