“Sweet Pea is taken from these lovely perennial peas at my home in Helena and annuals I grow every summer. I love their fragrance and the fragility of the flowers. My Grandfather was a master sweet pea grower. I also fondly remember it as a term of endearment from someone I love very much. I had just finished seven paintings from the plants in my yard when I arrived at Wildwood. I am hoping that this love and beauty transfers itself into the image we made. I try to paint things that I love and then hopefully that transfers to the viewer.”
