Nakache (1894-1976), born in Algeria, was one of the great French Expressionist painters, and this is his great illustrated book.
Edition limited to only 65 numbered copies, of which this is one of 62 beautifully printed on fine Arches wove paper.
From the collection of Luis de Caralt, a Barcelona publisher who was Spain’s leading collector of modern illustrated books (his bookplate).
Folio. Loose as issued in original wraps. FINE AND BRIGHT, in the original (slightly worn) board chemise and slipcase.
A very rare book, and in excellent condition.
