Bill Rock, (b. 1958) received a BA in radio, television, and film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA in visual arts from Vermont College. He has led courses on colour theory, painting and drawing at Georgetown University and the Smithsonian Institution, among others. Now based in Washington, Rock has had solo exhibitions in Washington DC, Chicago, New York and Paris. A particular area of interest is Die Brucke – the German Expressionist movement of the early 1900’s, and this theme is explored in the witty and slightly bizarre prints published at Stoney Road Press!
