Lying dead? Or perched on a branch? Bill Woodrow RA reproduces the curious and poetic qualities of his three-dimensional sculptures in this tender etching.
To create it, Woodrow made around 30 exploratory drawings from several different angles of a kestrel he found by the side of the road.
Woodrow was a Turner Prize finalist in 1986. His work is exhibited internationally, and was the subject of a Royal Academy solo exhibition in 2013.
