This large, unique monotype, made with acrylic paint and mica pigment, is printed on white Habotai silk. It is stretched on wood stretcher bars, which are faintly visible through the diaphanous silk fabric. The artist used mica pigments and chromatic black mixed from colors rather than black pigment, and subtle colors are visible within the image. The scale and execution of this sublime work blur the line between painting and printmaking. Framing is recommended for this piece.
