“Namaste”, is a color reduction woodcut printed in an edition of 12. The blocks were carved and printed by the artist on Natsume, a handmade Japanese kozo paper with gampi fibers. The paper has a beautiful natural deckle. It is printed by hand using oil-based inks and is a bleed print with the image extending to the edges of the paper. As can be seen in the detail shot some of the image can be seen through the back of the paper. The artist has signed, titled and dated the print in pencil on both the front and back lower margin. In “Namaste” the artist evokes the eternal spirit of humanity.
