A CHARMING, ACCOMPLISHED, AND EXTREMELY RARE SELF-PUBLISHED SUITE OF 16 SURREALIST ETCHINGS (WITH AQUATINT) by Claude Gondard, best known for his numismatic work. Etched title-page (SIGNED IN PENCIL BY THE ARTIST) plus 15 full-page etchings. EDITION LIMITED TO ONLY 25 NUMBERED COPIES, printed on extremely fine Arches wove paper. 25.2 x 16.5 cm. This copy, exceptionally, contains and additional signed print not issued with the set. One etching discolored on verso; another etching discolored in margins, else FINE AND BRIGHT. Extremely rare: the only other set I located is that in the Bibliothèque Narionale in Paris (FRBNF35949410).
