Conor Harrington is an Irish street artist known for his expressionistic oil paintings and murals. Themes of masculinity, military history, and urban culture are prevalent in Harrington’s work. “Distortion [of the figures] is important to me because, whether it’s the Romans or the British, no one can stay dominant,” he explained of his figures. Born in 1980 in Cork, Ireland, he began tagging walls with graffiti as a teenager after hanging out at hip-hop clubs. He went on to attend the Limerick School of Art and Design, where he received a BFA in 2002. The artist has gone on to exhibit in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Harrington currently lives and works in London, United Kingdom.
