Forever H8-4 (Small)

By Damien Hirst

Forever is a limited edition print featuring up-close abstract details from Damien Hirst’s thick impasto Cherry Blossom paintings. Depicting blossom trees in full bloom, the series is inspired by Pierre Bonnard, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and the Pointillist innovations of Georges Seurat. The cherry blossoms combine elements of abstract and figurative styles to create this captivating artwork that you cannot help but wish to touch to test the thick brushstrokes of colourful paint.

Damien Hirst, born in 1965, emerged as a prominent artist in the late 1980s and 1990s, notably as a Young British Artist and Turner Prize winner. Challenging artistic and market norms, he sold over 200 pieces directly to the public in a 2008 Sotheby’s auction, earning £111 million. Hirst’s thought-provoking works explore life, death, and religion, featuring animals in formaldehyde and the diamond-encrusted human skull “For The Love Of God” adorned with 8,601 diamonds.
