A perfectly balanced still life lithograph of a vase of tulips with their associated symmetrical reflection on the table beneath, the background kept simple to allow the composition of beautiful tulips to shine. This style is seen in some of Hockney’s swimming pool and earlier works where he allows his chosen subject to remain the key focal point of the artwork.
