This original home-made xerox is hand signed in pencil by the artist “David Hockney” at the lower right margin.
It is dated in pencil “90” [1990] next to the signature.

It is also hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 50, at the lower left corner.

This work was commissioned by the Prints and Drawings Council of LACMA, Los Angeles and printed and published by the artist in June 1990.

It is comprised of two sheets, as issued.

Condition: Excellent condition.

The Artist

David Hockney

Born in Bradford England on the 9th July 1937 David Hockney was interested in art from a very early age, and was an admirer of Fragonard, Picasso and Matisse. The fifth of six children his parents encouraged his artistic experimentation. He went to the Bradford College of Art 1953-57. To fulfil his national service, he worked in hospitals as he was a conscientious objector to war. Then in 1959 he was accepted into the Royal College of Art, Graduate school in London.
