Watercolor monoprints using vellum as the “plate”. Images inspired by the trees and landscape surrounding the
Ashokan Reservoir in the Catskill Mountains which holds the drinking water for New York City.

Prints include ghosts of previous pulled prints and overlays which create texture and depth. “Drawing” was done
with tubes of Daniel Smith watercolor as well as foam brushes, sponges and spray bottles.

Deborah Freedman

Deborah Freedman is a painter and printmaker whose work has been exhibited in numerous venues including; The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Artists Space, The Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design, The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Hong Kong, Albright Knox Gallery, and Rutgers University. It is included in corporate and private collections including The New York Public Library, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Citigroup, Prudential, Rutgers University, NASA and the National Bank of North Carolina. She is co-owner of VanDeb Editions Inc. with Marjorie VanDyke.
