Using a polymer photogravure process, Fagan created this large enigmatic image of a swan. The image, which began as a large-format photograph was etched into a large polymer plate that could be printed as any other intaglio plate. Fagan experimented with printing the plate using a range of custom-mixed color inks. The final choice for the edition was a custom mix of blue and black inks printed onto Rives lightweight which was chine colléd to Rives BFK paper.

Dennis Fagan moved to Austin after studying writing at the University of Iowa. Since opening his studio, Dennis has won national and international awards in the fields of editorial, fine art and commercial photography including best of show at the National Addys. Dennis is also a film director who directs video production in Austin and around the state of Texas.
