Over three decades Eileen Cooper’s work has evolved to make her one of Britain’s foremost figurative artists, participating in significant national and international exhibitions. In October 2011, Eileen Cooper was appointed as Keeper of the Royal Academy of Arts.
In October 2014 Eileen Cooper’s drawings 1984 – 2013 will be the subject of a retrospective exhibition in the Tennant Gallery at the Royal Academy, London. This will coincide with the publication of a monograph on the artist with an essay by Martin Gayford. Her work can also be seen as part of the ‘Royal Academician Printmakers – Recent Print Acquisitions’ exhibition from the Golder-Thompson Gift exhibition at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester this summer.
