Gary Justis projects a graphic revision of ornamental light fixtures popular in the 1930’s and 40’s in his Floral Filaments series.  They highlight an anachronistic impression of technology, which was sophisticated for the 1930’s, and re-document when and where they fit culturally.
“Rose #1” is an archival pigment print on aluminum. It includes a float mount hanging device and the surface is treated with a thin protective coating, so it requires no framing. If traditional framing is desired the hanging device can be removed and the aluminum panel can be framed.
