Gregory Moore was born in Larne, Northern Ireland in 1961. He graduated from Belfast Art College in 1983 with a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art. He has had a career in Graphic Design and teaching, and now works as an Artist/Printmaker. He has been a member of Glasgow Print Studio for 8 years. The printmaking techniques he uses include etching, mezzotint, drypoint etching, monoprinting and stone lithography. His paintings and prints draw inspiration from the landscape and its diverse wildlife, striving to capture its character and atmosphere.
Gregory was raised close to the Irish countryside and coast, which instilled a passion and appreciation of his surroundings and their diverse wildlife. Gregory’s prints are exhibited widely in the UK and have been included in several galleries and exhibitions, such as the Royal Academy, the Royal Ulster Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy. He has recently won the prestigious Teeside Print Prize.
