Two volumes, complete (all published).
The limited-edition catalogue raisonne of Erni’s lithographs from 1930 to 1970. 455 items reproduced, one to a page, and thoroughly described. The color prints are illustrated with extremely attractive tipped-in plates.
This is an OUTSTANDING SET: on the half-title of each volume is a BEAUTIFULLY-EXECUTED SIGNED PENCIL DRAWING BY ERNI, with a dated (November 3, 1977) presentation inscription (to Martin Wachter) running vertically (as was Erni’s habit) down the left edge of the page. The drawing in volume I depicts the head of a man; that in volume II depicts the head of a woman.
Both of these drawings are SIGNED IN PENCIL and are in Erni’s purest style.
4to. Publisher’s cloth. FINE AND BRIGHT, in near fine dustjackets. An excellent set.
