Two large prints on wove paper. without watermarks, very good, uniform impression from the book edition of 1808.
With wide margins and the usual horizontal central folds, as published.
The two enormous prints depict a section of Barry’s Elysium and Tartarus or the State of Final Retribution, part of the cycle of murals commissioned for the Great Room of the Royal Society of Arts, which can still be seen in situ on the Strand in London. Like most of Barry’s prints after paintings, they are not exact copies but variations on the original theme ideal for printmaking.
