Monoprint
Solid Shadow, Playing Volume, and Playing Flat with their sensual, lyrical and engaging play of abstract elements, recall the Brazilian Neo-Concrete movement of the 1960s, which was championed by artists such as Lygia Clark and Helio Oiticica. The monoprints are of a series achieved through a collaging and painting process. The artist cut out shapes from various paper types and laid them down on a previously painted sheet of Plexiglas, which was then run through the lithograph press. In some cases, some of the paper shapes were removed and the print was run through the press a second time.
