This original etching and aquatint is hand signed and dated in pencil by the artist “Miró” in the lower right image. It is also hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 50, at the lower left corner. The etching and aquatint was printed by Atelier Maeght, Levallois, it was published by Pierre Matisse Gallery, New York in 1961 in a deluxe edition of 75.
The edition was comprised of 25 in Roman numerals and 50 in Arabic numerals. Our impression is one of the 50 with Arabic numerals. This is the fourth composition of four created for the deluxe exhibition catalogue “Miró 1959-1960”, by Yvon Taillandier to accompany the exhibition of the same name held at the Pierre Matisse Gallery in New York.
The paper bears the BFK Rives watermark on the lower left corner. The etching is printed on the right side of a larger leaf, as issued.

Condition: Very good condition. The sheet edges slightly toned.
