Joan Winter’s “Counterpoint” prints are a series of three photogravures. They are printed in gray ink on Somerset Satin white paper in editions of 10. The image is a cropped photograph of the artist’s maquette for a sculpture made of carved translucent acrylic. The copper photogravure plates were made at Manneken Press from the artist’s original 35mm negatives, and the editions were also printed at Manneken Press. The edition is nearly sold out and the prints are only available as a set of three.
