Commissioned by Peugot Uk, this is the Curwen archive copy, aside from the edition itself. “My first collaboration with The Curwen Studio was in 1984 and together we produced eight lithographs. What struck me was the intense beauty of lithography and working with committed and passionate people who understood a real craft that, in my opinion, is sorely lacking in some so called modern disciplines”. It bears a blindstamp lower right. Being a rail bridge, features the only car ever seen, or ever likely to be seen, on this bridge!.
‘I climbed to the top of one of the towers on the Forth Bridge (which of course, is a railway bridge) and took the shot from there. The car I shot separately and it was comped in position.’ John Claridge.
