Joseph Pennell, American, 1857-1926, Caen, Abbaye aux Dames, Pen and ink with pencil under-sketching, prox 1905. Titled and signed in ink, Provenance: R. H. Love Galleries. Archivally custom framed with 8 ply Mat. Extremely artfully executed. I have never seen any work of Pennell show more artistry. Please note, the photo is bad due to shadow! I will repost a better photo shortly.
