Kate Petley’s “Replay 4” is a drawing made on one of several proofs from a print series she made at Manneken Press in 2013. She revisited the proofs in 2020, adding color and imagery over and adjacent to the printed image with acrylic paint, graphite and colored pencil.

In her paintings and prints Petley conveys psychologically charged space using layered images with multiple references, color, vividly enhanced marks, and dramatic compositions.
