Here, KAWS enters the world of fabric design and fashion in a work exclusive to House of Voltaire. Two gloved hands, both branded with the classic ‘X’ expected of all KAWS figures, emerge from a puddle and cause a splash in an ironic juxtaposition of childish comedy and dark humour. This blanket was produced by Scottish craftspeople using a double-sided jacquard technique whereby the predominately white image is featured on the reverse in an inverse blue. Incredibly soft to the touch, this blanket invokes comfort and luxury.
