From a total edition of 320 copies, all printed on fine Marais wove paper, this is ONE OF ONLY 60 SETS WITH THE ENGRAVINGS IN TWO STATES: THE FIRST STATE ON RIVES WOVE PAPER, SIGNED IN PENCIL, AND THE SECOND STATE ON MARAIS WOVE PAPER.
Hasegawa’s engraving, “Anemones et fleurs de champs dans un verre a facettes” (Kyoto 368, also known as “Bouquet sur fond de dentelle”), is considered one of his masterpieces.
