Season ,Yellow and Green is a lyrical abstract waterfall monoprint created from multiple aquatint plates, deeply influenced by the traditional scree paintings of the artist’s native Japan. It is printed in silver, graphite, yellow ochre, pale green and sanguine red on Akatosashi rice paper, hand signed lower right corner. the image size is 19’5″ x 31″. Kumi Korf, whose work uses a wide range of media and techniques, holds an MFA in printmaking from Cornell University. She studied architecture in Japan. Her most recent concentration is on intaglio printmaking and artists’ books and teaches sculptural book workshops nationwide. Annual solo exhibitions are at Chandler Fine Art, San Francisco, with others nationally and internationally. Her work is included in many museums and library collections including the Library of Congress; New York Public Library; Johnson Museum of Art, Ithaca, NY; Cleveland Museum of Art; Getty Research Library; Museum of Modern Art Library; Harvard University Houghton Library; Tate Library; Victoria & Albert Museum.
