Accra-born artist Kwesi Botchway’s intimate portraits of Black subjects captivate with rich colors and dynamic personality. A graduate of Ghanatta College of Art and Design, he’s exhibited widely since 2011, from Accra to Cape Town, London, and Denmark. Evolving from photorealism to “Afro-Impressionism,” Botchway’s style embraces high-contrast palettes and texture, focusing on the intricacies of skin and clothing contours.
