Kyne began his career as a graffiti artist in his hometown of Fukuoka, Japan. His monochromatic tags and stickers based on images of women are drawn in simple lines that are both sensual and sentimental. This use of line and colour intergrate his influence of Japanese-style nihonga painting with idols and cartoons of the 1980s.
