People Standing About
By LS Lowry
People Standing About is a lithograph that features Lowry’s distinctive figures in an everyday setting. Lowry is an extremely celebrated artist and this print is a rare example based on his original watercolour painting capturing people going about their lives in a more vibrant colour palette with a close view that draws the viewer in, and an industrial setting gently created in the background to emphasise the perspective.
Published by Penrose Fine Arts International, 1972 in a limited edition print of 500.
Singed in pencil by Lowry.
34 x 50 cm.
