Marigold has an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL. In 2020 she won the Ingram purchase Prize, Founders Choice and has recently been awarded the Pegasus Art Prize at the Bath Society of Artists Summer show. In print or in paint, her work is figurative and intimate in its nature. Focused on the drawn line and mark-making, Marigold’s practice is underpinned by a concern with the role of the female gaze in contemporary portraiture. The gaze of her subjects are quietly questioning-turned in upon themselves and outward upon the viewer, both challenging and sympathetic.
