Arty-Fact: Markus went for a concept contrary to the model and television star’s typically sexy bombshell image for his shoot with Carmen Electra. He photographed her as a kohl-eyed goddess of the silent film era.
In this shot, Carmen is shown with artificial tears streaming down her face. She had just been through a highly publicised break-up, and she embraced the cathartic symbolism of owning her emotions in a work of art.
