This is a watercolor monotype from a recently completed project during the Covid 19 pandemic. As artists were restricted from working in person at Center Street Studio, master printer James Stroud devised a way for artists to work on monotype plates with watercolor in their own studios and ship them back to be processed and printed on press in the workshop. Linnenbrink completed a total of 38 monotypes over the winter months and they were printed in Spring of 2021. The title is a reminder that all things, both good and bad, must at some point come to an end.
The artist had not made prints before coming to Center Street Studio in 2002. Since then he has collaborated on several projects producing over 200 monotypes. Center Street is the exclusive print publisher of Markus Linnenbrink prints.
