Mel Pekarsky is a tenured professor of Fine Arts at SUNY Stony Brook in Long Island, NY. He is a recipient of many awards, among them the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, The Kaplan Fund, and the Bernard Foundation. His work is also represented in The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, DC., Harvard University’s Fogg Museum of Art, and Yale University Museum of Art.
