In response to the right wing “Tea Party”movement against the Obama administration in 2011-12, Nicole Eisenman made this large print “Tea Party”. It depicts a “Big Boss”politician, a “Revolutionary War” re-encactor in a tri-cornered hat, and a skeleton, all three holding a sickle with an American flag waving.

Nicole Eisenman is an American artist primarily known for her paintings. Eisenman was a professor at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson from 2003 to 2009. She has been awarded the Guggenheim fellowship, the Carnegie Prize, and has been included in the Whitney Biennial three times.
