Featured in our exhibition ‘Frank Lloyd Wright. Hand Studies of an Architect’.
Pedro E Guerrero first established contact with Frank Lloyd Wright in 1939, when Guerrero was in his early 20s. Living in Arizona with his family after dropping out of art school, Guerrero was encouraged by his father to visit Wright at Taliesen West, the architect’s new home and teaching facility in the dessert. Guerrero introduced himself to Wright and showed the famous architect his photography portfolio, and soon became his exclusive photographer until Wright’s death in 1959. In this well-known series, Guerrero captures Wright demonstrating architectural principles with his hands.
Our complete set is the first edition of the series, from the original edition of 12. Later editions were made.
