A beautiful livre d’artiste with the FIRST EDITION of this verse bestiary by Kerdyk and 14 LARGE FULL-PAGE HORS-TEXTE ORIGINAL ETCHINGS (with drypoint, aquatint, etc) BY PEDRO ZAMORANO DE BIEDMA.
These intricate, technically complex and extremely accomplished depictions of animals reflect influences as varied as the Surrealists, Chagall, and Picasso (especially his etchings for Buffon).
From an edition limited to 450 numbered copies, this is ONE OF 16 COPIES ON LANA WOVE PAPER WITH A SECOND SUITE OF THE ETCHINGS ON RIVES WOVE PAPER.
