Since the early 1990’s, Peter Wüthrich’s art has focused exclusively on the medium of the book. In his works, books are characterized by their ambiguity, where their traditional function is withheld, albeit without questioning their status as books. In his wall pieces, installations, photographs, and films, books are presented as personalities, that is, as entities that transcend mere commonplace objects.
