Peter Young has been described by art critics as “a maverick Zenned-out hedonist who is also a process-oriented formalist with a sharp painterly intelligence, a genius for color and a penchant for the tribal and spiritual.” Young has had over forty solo exhibitions throughout his career and has been included in two annual exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, as well as group exhibitions at The Museum of Modern Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
