The print title presumably has something to do with the book of the same title by Owen Jones, issued originally in 1856-subtitled “a unique collection of more than 2,350 classic patterns”.This provided a standard reference work, informing designers from William Morris to Frank Lloyd Wright. To my mind Clough is commenting on the 20th century design influences …. a nod to Walt Disney perhaps? If so, some humour here…
