To celebrate 50 years of Peacock, we are delighted to release our latest fine art print publication produced in direct collaboration with Ralph Steadman.
This new original print, titled Disneyland is limited to an edition of 50, signed and numbered by Ralph in his distinct pen and ink signature celebrates an enduring 33-year creative partnership between the studio and Steadman.
The image recreates for the first time as a photopolymer gravure, a classic Steadman image from a brilliant pen and ink drawing made by Ralph on visiting Disneyland in California in the early 1970’s. Commissioned by Rolling Stone magazine to cast his eye and pen upon the fantastical world Disney built in the Sunshine State, Steadman doesn’t disappoint. He skilfully uncloaks the anxiety behind the façade, asking difficult questions of a favourite subject, the American Dream.
