FROM THE COLLECTION OF SYLVAN COLE, longtime director of Associated American Artists (publisher of this etching.)
Associated American Artists issued each lithograph and etching with a card designed to be affixed to the back of the frame. This card featured the title of the print and a brief biography of the artist.
Oddly, while the card issued with this etching gives the title as “Slumbering Meadows”, this proof, exceptionally, is titled in pencil by the artist–and the title he supplies is “Slumbering Valleys”.
A perfect impression on fine wove paper.
Signed in pencil by the artist.
