Since 1992 Steve has focused on making artists books of 20-30 etchings based on a single theme. His books are in selected collections including The Mississippi Museum of Fine Arts, The New York Public Library, The Mortimer Rare Book Room in Northampton, Mass and the Ampersand Collection, Johannasburg, South Africa.

Steve Stankiewicz is a printmaker, bookmaker and painter. For the last dozen or so years, he has been focusing on making artists’ books, the challenge being in creating a narrative, to move the viewer inexorably from beginning to end in a coherent and logically ordered manner, without dependency upon the written word. He has recently been exploring industrial imagery, mostly of the New York City.
